Shortlookers: Need to Sleep
CONTENT WARNING: This story contains flattening/TF content Grace was exhausted from a long night working at the bar. It had been super busy all night, and many people were stingy with their tips. It was possibly one of the most stressful nights she’d had since getting the job. All she wanted to do was sleep in, and that’s what she fully intended on doing. She took off her clothes and put on a gray tank top and black sweatpants. Climbing into bed for a nice long slumber. While the rest of the night went on without any problems, music started blasting from the basement around 8:30am. For ten minutes she tossed and turned to no avail. There was simply no way of getting rest with that racket going. She couldn’t take it anymore. She stomped down to the basement where she found Natalie, a pile of freshly dried clothes on the floor as she finished moving wet clothes to the dryer. The music was so loud she didn’t even notice Grace enter the room until she turned around. “Oh, hey Grace!
‘I’m back!’ There was no reply, but Ellie didn’t need her roommate to respond to know she was in the apartment. The piles of dirty dishes, abandoned laundry, and unorganised papers—plus the blaring sounds of the TV in the next room—made that clear enough. ‘It’s a mess in here!’ she complained, tiptoeing around various hazards as she navigated a path to the living room. ‘How did you even manage to get the place this messy in just one day?’ Dani glanced up at her disgruntled roommate, then turned her glazed-over gaze back to the cop drama she was watching. ‘I’ll clean it up later. Don’t worry about it.’ ‘You always say that!’ Ellie retorted, looking around the den—which was somehow even messier than the kitchen—in disbelief and frustration. ‘Even when you do clean up, it’s always hours later. And most of the time you just leave your mess lying around for me to deal with when I get fed up!’ ‘Yeah, yeah,’ replied Dani, not really paying much attention to her roommate’s exasperation.
